I have a number of students who take time to settle on the mat. These are low level behaviour, however I am looking for solutions to decrease/eliminate this behaviour.
On Friday 3rd May I tried talking T's- each T worth a reward, the target students lose a T if talking on the mat. Only one student kept one T by 12pm Friday. I will keep perserving.
After talking to my Team Leader, I will try 'Children's Minutes'/ Teacher Minutes, if children win by end of the day, we can have some payground time, or something the class would like. I feel positive that the power of peers will help with this low level behaviour.
